Historical Overview

El Adabiya port is one of the largest ports of Suez ports Authority, Situated on the Red Sea coasts and established during the world war II, began operating in 1954. The importance of El Adabiya port is due to the increasing in the international and the Egyptian Trade.

Location

Adabiya port is situated on the western coast of Suez bay, and 17 km. distanced from Suez City. It consists of 9 berths with estimate length of 1840 m. and draft between 27 and 42 feet.

Approach Area

Inner anchorage area as controlled by Suez Canal Authority and the reception of vessels is done on the anchorage in the waiting area.

Pilotage

is compulsory, and performed by pilots of the Red Sea Ports Authority.

Six senior pilots undertake works.

Tugging

Tugging charges are 275 US$ per hour for foreign vessels, and 175 L.E per hour for Egyptian vessels, for at least 3 hours.
